Our Inspiration
In 18th-century France, a style known as “Chinoiserie” captivated all the nobles of Versailles. Chinoiserie was a dream, never a true reflection of “China,” but rather an imagination crafted by Europe. It was filled with mystery, romance, and adventure. The French were fascinated by it because it embodied a “foreign exoticism” that had been Frenchified. The entire Western world was enchanted by it because it represented the height of French sophistication and fashion.
300 years have passed. For a time, “Made in China” became synonymous with being cheap, mass-produced, and low quality. However, a new generation has emerged. Countless “second-generation factory owners,” inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, and young artists are now combining their creativity with culture, starting to craft a distinctive Chinese design style: “China-chic.”
“Made in China” can have a new label, one that leads trends and represents deep cultural heritage and masterful craftsmanship. This beauty transcends borders, cultures, and time and deserves to be seen by the world.
